El Buho Mezcal is made in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca, Mexico.
El Buho is a blanco mezcal made from 100% Espadin agave. First, hand-selected agaves are slowly roasted underneath Oaxacan earth in a stone pit fire fueled by local oak for a week before being crushed by horse on a tahona stone mill. The mash ferments for a couple days, is doubled distilled in a 5th generation alembic still and then bottled by hand in an authentic Mexican glass decanter.
