Every so often Balvenie offer a 25 year old variant of their already excellent 15 year old Single Barrel series. These 25 years olds have a bit of a reputation and this one is no exception. Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2014, this is a marvellously fruity, not overly complex but flavour forward, fun and playful dram that just seems to disappear in the glass. Dangerous and brilliant stuff.
