The Lagrimas de Dolores Verde Mezcal is made from wild Agave salmiana in the village of Nombre de Díos. Despite the mesquite wood that Don Gilberto Roldán uses to cook the agave, the Mezcal has a very light smoke quality. True to its name, the Verde has a very green flavor profile, with notes of poblano pepper and tomatillo up front and black pepper on the finish.
