Rey Campero Chato Mezcal
Rey Campero Chato is made with a sub-varietal of agave Potatorum (similar to maguey Tobala), which locally goes by the name Chato. Produced in August of 2016, the entire 296 bottle batch became available exclusively at Moreno’s Liquor in Chicago, Illinois in the fall of 2018. This is definitely worth tracking down. There are notes of sweet ripe fruit followed by herbalness and finishing with a long, rich, creamy milk chocolate ending.
