Old Bardstown is a label of bourbon that offers high-quality characteristics of bourbon at an affordable price. They recognize it as a “sour mash” bourbon, which means that they yeast they use in fermentation is the same from batch to batch–a bit from the prior batch being retained for the next. The Black Label bourbon is a higher-proofed version of their bourbon.
